Dr. Randall Proctor

RockyDr. Proctor graduated from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. Prior to medical school, he attended East Carolina University as an Early Assurance Scholar where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Health Care Management. As an Early Assurance Scholar graduating with University Honors (summa cum laude), he was automatically accepted into the school of medicine after completing a combination of rigorous coursework, medical school prerequisites, research activities and a service project in eastern North Carolina.

After graduating as president of his class at the school of medicine, he completed his intern year in Internal Medicine at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina. He then went on to complete his Dermatology residency at Vidant Medical Center and East Carolina University completing training in general, surgical, laser, and cosmetic dermatology where he served as chief resident in his nal year of training. He has special interests in skin cancers and has written and presented several articles and case reports at various dermatological society and academy meetings in the United States. He has also served abroad as part of a medical mission team to Jinotega, Nicaragua. As a resident physician, he was recognized by the local chapter of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation with an award for humanism in medicine and compassionate care.

Dr. Proctor is currently a Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology fellow with Surgical Dermatology Group. During this time, he is receiving advanced training in the management of skin cancer with the Mohs micrographic surgery technique. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.

When he is away from the of ce, Dr. Proctor enjoys spending time with his wife and three children as well as gardening, hiking and shing.
