Dr. Peter Boothman is a native of the pacific northwest and graduated magna cum laude and Phi beta cappa with a degree in Zoology from Washington state University. Dr. Boothman received his medical Doctorate from University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington where he developed a keen interest in dermatology and Mohs surgery. Dr. Boothman then completed his transitional year internship at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. 

Dr. Boothman was subsequently selected for the highly competitive clinical trials research fellowship at the University of Alabama Birmingham under the mentorship of Dr. Boni Elewski where he was rigorously trained in clinical research and was certified as a sub-investigator in numerous clinical trials involving all the new cutting-edge applications for current and emerging treatments for a diverse range of Dermatologic conditions.

Dr. Boothman then completed his Dermatology Residency at the University of Alabama Birmingham and further honed his interest in Dermatologic surgery. Dr. Boothman is extremely excited to continue his training at Surgical Dermatology group and to continue to learn and grow to serve the people of Alabama.
