Dr. King is a board certified dermatologist and fellowship trained Mohs surgeon. He graduated magna cum laude with a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Cornell College. He received his medical doctorate with research distinction and many coursework honors at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. He then completed his transitional internship at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
During residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, Dr. King excelled in medical, pediatric, surgical, and procedural dermatology. During his Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship with Surgical Dermatology Group, Dr. King received advanced training in the management of skin cancer with the Mohs micrographic surgery technique.
Advancing the field of dermatology through research is important to Dr. King. He has published peer-reviewed articles in both medical and surgical dermatology. He has presented his research findings at national and international conferences. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
Outside of the office, Dr. King enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and dogs. He has a passion for community involvement and has volunteered for many organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Children’s Cancer Connection, and the Out of the Sun Run. He enjoys an active lifestyle and is an enthusiastic collegiate and professional football fan.
Dr. King is currently accepting new patients in general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
