About Dr. Cappel
Dr. Jonathan Cappel attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison and Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Penn. He completed his dermatology residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
During his dermatology residency, he received the Mayo International Health Program Scholarship and spent one month working in dermatology in São Paulo, Brazil. Additionally, he was involved in multiple research projects regarding a number of different dermatologic conditions and as a result, he has attended and presented research at numerous dermatology meetings.
Dr. Cappel completed a Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology fellowship with Surgical Dermatology Group, where he received advanced training in the management of skin cancer with the Mohs micrographic surgery technique.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time outdoors with family and his dog Abbie, traveling, and being physically active. He travels have included trips to the Amazon region of Peru and other South American counties for medical mission trips.
He serves patients in general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
