About Dr. King

Dr. Brian King is a double board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon who has performed over 10,000 Mohs and reconstructive surgeries. Dr. King is often referred some of the most challenging skin cancer and reconstructive cases in the state. He completed his residency at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., where he excelled in surgical and procedural dermatology.

Advancing the field of dermatology through research is important to Dr. King. He has published peer-reviewed articles in both surgical and medical dermatology. He has presented his research findings at national and international conferences. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.

Prior to his dermatologic training, Dr. King graduated magna cum laude with a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Cornell College. He received his medical doctorate with honors and research distinction from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine.

Dr. King is married to his high school sweetheart and together they have four children and two dogs. Living out his faith is the center of all that he does; he makes an effort to bring light to all aspects of his life from praying over his patients to medical mission work. He enjoys serving others through Church of the Highlands, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Children’s Cancer Connection, among others. He practices an active lifestyle and is an enthusiastic football fan.
