Maria Mihailescu, MD
Dr. Maria Mihailescu is a board-certified dermatologist with a strong interest in surgical dermatology, cutaneous oncology, and cosmetic dermatology. She is passionate about delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care.
Dr. Mihailescu completed her medical degree at the University of Chicago, where she was actively involved in clinical research, including multiple industry-sponsored Phase II and III dermatology clinical trials. She completed her dermatology residency at Rush University Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident and received comprehensive training in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
As Chief Resident at Rush, Dr. Mihailescu led resident education, organized academic programming, and taught medical students and trainees. She is currently pursuing an ASDS Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery Fellowship at Surgical Dermatology Group. She remains engaged in clinical research and is committed to advancing the field of dermatology, with a focus on providing thoughtful, individualized care that helps patients feel confident and comfortable in their skin.
