Terra Nelson, DNP, CRNP, FNP-C
Terra Nelson is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 25 years of experience in healthcare, including over 15 years in surgical and procedural specialties. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Auburn University at Montgomery and an Associate of Science in Nursing from Bevill State Community College. She is board-certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board.
Terra’s clinical background includes extensive experience in perioperative care, surgical assisting, and postoperative management across specialties including plastic surgery, vascular, transplant, orthopedic, urology, and ENT within the UAB Health System. She also has experience in biologic and immunotherapy treatments, managing advanced therapies for conditions such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.
She is passionate about dermatologic surgery, skin cancer detection, and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Terra is known for her compassionate approach and commitment to patient education and community service.
